Get paid to vibe code.
Your AI coding agent makes you wait anyway. Opt in to show one tasteful sponsored line in that idle moment and keep a 70% cut — off in one click, and it never reads your code.
$ npm install -g codecashThe $25.41/mo is illustrative — track real earnings live on your dashboard.
An ad network that's actually on your side.
You keep 70%
Most of the revenue goes to you — the developer who showed the ad — not the platform.
It never touches your work
One line in the wait state, never the model's output or your context. It never reads your code, and it's off in one click.
Signed and reversible
Server-signed impressions, signed auto-updates, no editor patching, settings restored on uninstall.
Numbers you can audit.
Computed from the marketplace constants the API bills against — they can't drift from what the ledger pays.
It runs itself.
Connect your editor
Install the codecash extension and link it to your account with one click. No code is ever read or transmitted.
Enable the line
codecash renders one sponsored line in your agent's wait states. Your original settings are backed up and restored on disable.
Accrue and cash out
Every line shown for 5s credits your ledger. Track earnings live on your dashboard and cash out to your bank or debit card once you clear $10.
Frequently asked.
Does codecash read my code?
No. codecash only renders one sponsored line in your AI coding agent's wait states — the spinner verb and status line. It never reads, stores, or transmits your code, your prompts, or the model's output. The Transparency page lists exactly what leaves your machine and what never does.
How much can I earn?
You keep 70% of the revenue from every ad confirmed on screen. How much that adds up to depends on how much you use your AI coding agent, since ads only appear while you're actively waiting on it. You can track your real earnings live on your dashboard.
How and when do I get paid?
Your earnings accrue to your dashboard ledger in real time, and cash-out to a bank or debit card is live. Connect a payout account through Stripe from your dashboard, then withdraw any time your balance clears $10. Every payout is manually reviewed, so click-farm and bot earnings are never paid.
Is it safe? What does codecash change on my machine?
codecash only writes Claude Code's own documented settings — the same spinner verb and status line you can configure yourself. It never patches or injects into Anthropic's app or any other extension, backs up your original settings before changing them, signs every update, and restores everything when you disable or uninstall. Nothing it does is hidden or irreversible.
How do I turn it off?
One click. Disable codecash from the extension or sign out, and your original editor settings are restored from the backup it made. You're never locked in.
Which AI coding tools does codecash support?
Today, Claude Code — in the terminal (any editor's integrated terminal, including Cursor, Windsurf, and Google Antigravity, or a bare shell) and in the Claude Code panel (VS Code and its forks). It rides on Claude Code's own settings, so the editor doesn't matter — but it earns on Claude Code, not on an IDE's own assistant (Cursor Composer, Antigravity's Gemini agent). Support for more AI coding agents is on the roadmap.
Does codecash cost anything?
No. codecash is free to install and use. Advertisers pay to show a line, and you earn a 70% share for showing it — you never pay.
